Growing up in the vibrant capital city of Dhaka, she pursued her education at the University of Dhaka, obtaining both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English. Ulfat’s journey from Dhaka to Boston, MA marked a significant milestone in her quest for personal and professional advancement. Supported by her elder sister, a physician in Boston, Ulfat navigated the challenges of relocation and embraced opportunities for growth. Her tenure at Bentley College, where she earned certificates in Accounting, Marketing, and Finance, laid the groundwork for a successful career in the corporate world and later on into IT. Subsequent moves to Maryland and Texas, coupled with her determination and resilience, propelled her into roles at esteemed institutions such as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, General Motors Financial, Toyota Motor North America and Bank of America. With a diverse background spanning various industries, Ulfat’s foray into writing marks a new chapter in her journey, as she endeavors to share the compelling story of her protagonist, Al-Fath, navigating the complexities of corporate upheaval in her debut literary venture.
