Ulfat Ashraf is a dynamic individual hailing from Bangladesh, with a profound passion for IT. Growing up in the vibrant capital city of Dhaka, she pursued her education at the University of Dhaka, obtaining both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in English. Ulfat’s journey from Dhaka to Boston, MA marked a significant milestone in her quest for personal and professional advancement. Supported by her elder sister, a physician in Boston, Ulfat navigated the challenges of relocation and embraced opportunities for growth. Her tenure at Bentley College, where she earned certificates in Accounting, Marketing, and Finance, laid the groundwork for a successful career in the corporate world and later on into IT. Subsequent moves to Maryland and Texas, coupled with her determination and resilience, propelled her into roles at esteemed institutions such as the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation, General Motors Financial, Toyota Motor North America and Bank of America. With a diverse background spanning various industries, Ulfat’s foray into writing marks a new chapter in her journey, as she endeavors to share the compelling story of her protagonist, Al-Fath, navigating the complexities of corporate upheaval in her debut literary venture.

Al-Fath felt that restless urge again, the need to expand her horizons. She started exploring some coding boot camps. Having dabbled in coding before, it seemed like a timely decision to dive deeper. Then, an email notification from SMU Coding Boot Camp caught her attention.
Amidst her current job responsibilities, Al-Fath took a moment to glance at her personal email inbox using her iPhone device. There, amidst the notifications and messages, she spotted a fresh email that caught her attention—a new invitation for a Google Chat with Sandra from Google, scheduled for 12 pm to 12:30 pm (Central Time – Chicago). Her heart skipped a beat as she read through the details, her excitement growing at the prospect of a potential opportunity.
Amidst the usual flurry of emails, notifications, and reminders, one message stood out in Al-Fath’s inbox on August 11, 2022, catching her attention amidst the chaos. The subject line was enticing: JOB OPPORTUNITY: QA TESTING ENGINEER in Bentonville, Arkansas.
As Al-Fath reflected on the end of August, memories flooded back of the bustling week leading up to her interview at Walmart. It all began on a Monday, August 22nd, when she first heard from S Devvendran, a Senior Technical Recruiter, regarding an interview for a QA Testing Engineer role at Walmart.
